Elegant stately residence located in the heart of the most exclusive part of Venice, a few steps away from Piazza San Marco and Rialto bridge. Stunning view of the venetian canal, with private boat access. Beautiful Piano Nobile in a magic and unique atmosphere. Luxury typical Venetian finishes.

Duodo Palazzo Barbarigo is an elegant stately residence located in the very heart of Venice, only few steps away from Rialto bridge and St Mark’s Square.

In past times the residence belonged to the noble family of Duodo Barbarigo, who between ’500 and ’600 gave a Doge and a Patriarch to Venice.

The palace was originally a “casino”, a place of leisure where the aristocrats used to entertain themselves, talk, play, usually after the theater in the ancient Venetian tradition.

The property occupies the all 1st floor which is traditionally defined as Piano Nobile, the floor where the nobles used to live. It can be used as a private residence, or it can be transformed as the location for an art gallery, a foundation or any other international organization as a prestigious local headquarter.

The residence is composed of a 450 square meters large apartment organized on two levels: on the second floor (the so-called Piano Nobile) is located the living area consisting of two large living rooms, a dining room, a kitchen and a large double bedroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, each one with its own bathroom.

Between the street and the main entrance there is a typical pretty venetian courtyard. The entrance leads into a large living room with a stunning panoramic view of the canal, and connected to a second living room, faced on the opposite canal.

The architecture is typical from Venetian Palace, with the characteristic exposition to both sides, with panoramic view of the canals. An internal staircase brings to the upper floor, where the two large bedrooms are placed, each one with its own bathroom and walk-in closet.

The entire apartment was renovated in the 60′s while retaining all existing precious materials and finishes: the floors are Venetian terrazzo, walls, doors and ceilings have many decorative frames, stucco, and there are some large mirrors and chandeliers original Murano.
